#POSTMODERNISM explores new paths in artistic creation. Postmodernism is a process of cultural transformation, where, in many cases, preexistent structures are not aligned with the vitality of contemporary culture and, thus, artistic creation. Beyond canonical rules and nurtured with diverse backgrounds, new languages appear within the social realities. Urban culture, digital speed, and new ways of seeing the world modify everything that was once instituted.

In our spirit to foster collaboration and give visibility to the current movements within contemporary art, we will host, over the next two months, #POSTMODERNISM by Victoria Rios.

The curatorial project revolves around the concept of postmodernism through the work of seven emergent Spanish artists: Daniel Dobarco, Sofía González, Miquel Boneta "K1WY", Gabriel Coca, Rosa Aguilar, GVIIIE and Octavi Serra.

Victoria Rios (Zaragoza, 1984) is a curator specializing in contemporary art and culture. She has worked as director and coordinator in diverse platforms, galleries, museums, and cultural institutions and collaborates with written and digital radio media in advising on new artistic movements. Within her personal projects, she seeks to give voice to the artistic scene in Spain and Latin America with her podcast: Conversaciones con VdeVictoria. Currently, her professional interests are focused on managing and promoting contemporary art creation, accompanying artists in their process, and developing theoretical narratives that accompany their production.
