La Pera Art Fair | November 2022

Ever since the pandemic came to an end, we’ve been reflecting on the role and purpose of digital curatorial platforms and the barriers that new generations face when collecting art online. For this reason, we wanted to share certain reflections with you and give art fairs the nod as the main platforms for acquiring contemporary art. In addition, to make this proposal for the month of November more attractive, we offer free worldwide shipping of any work you buy starting Friday 11th 9am EST thru Saturday 12th 9am EST. We want to acknowledge shipping as a problem faced by novel collectors.

In this presentation we wanted to note a series of events that have been occurring in the industry and in particular, in the context of art fairs. A couple of years ago, it seemed that the fairs were going to suffer a lot from the ravages of the pandemic. That, linked to the arrival of fierce digitization and that famous art fatigue that was present throughout 2019, seemed to be the end. Well no. The fairs are back, and stronger than ever. In these last 3 months of the year, since the season was inaugurated with the Armory Show in New York in September, Art News, informs that there will be at least 70 art fairs occurring worldwide, concluding with Miami Art Week.

Gallerists, art professionals, artists and other agents confirm that the phenomenon of the fair works perfectly in a society where attention span has been reduced. The fair is attractive for the convenience of having a selection of works in the same place, during the same week, allowing the gallery owner and the collector to meet in the same space.

In a small tribute to Miami Art Week 2022, we present our "Pera Art Fair" with three booths curated by our team highlighting artists that you already know and love and for a period of 24 hours, La Pera Projects offers you free shipping to encourage you to continue collecting!
